Newborn workflow
If all goes as planned and baby is sleepy and go with the flow then I always stick to my favorite newborn workflow! I like to start with poses on a posing fabric, then go into the bowl, the bed, another prop of choice, back to the posing fabric for more poses on a different color, the bucket, wrapped, and the mugshots!
Posing Fabric
I always try to get 3-6 poses depending on babe! Sometimes I do this with babe in an outfit and sometimes I just incorporate a wrap to cover the diaper! My go to poses are chin on hands, bum up, side laying, modified taco, huck fin, and a prop shot (either hugging a stuffed animal or on my swing).
The bowl
The bowl is a beautiful shot. It is usually a parent favorite! I try to get a few different angles of this set!
The bed
I have 3 different bed options to choose from. The bed is always adorable and I usually have 3 go to poses for this set! I like to do chin on hands, the leg hang, and over head shots!
Prop shot
I offer a wide array of prop options from high chairs, to day beds, to colored boxes, etc! Some are trickier to pose on than others so I always choose based on the baby!
2nd posing color
On the second posing color I typically try and do 1-3 poses and at this point I will attempt the froggy pose if I feel the baby will allow me to do it! I also like to incorporate a pillow for the chin on hands pose for this set!
Bucket
The bucket is always a favorite! It is a pretty easy pose to get as baby is half swaddled and very cozy! I have never had a baby not let me do the bucket pose! I like to do chin on hands and one arm hanging down! I usually do some with a hat or bonnet and some without.
wrapped
Next, wrapped photos! I typically do one set and then wrap them to match the last posing fabric color and take some there as well.
mugshots
Lastly, MUGSHOTS! I WANT baby to be awake for these so I can get all of their expressions!
